What I am all about.
Hello there! I'm Deep, a senior year Computer Science undergraduate student at NIT, Tiruchirappalli. I love solving algorithmic challenges, attending competitions, working on projects that make life a little easier and hacking on random things. Apart from that, I love reading blog articles, watching movies and traveling.
I'm a core member of Delta Force, the official programming club of our college. I've worked on both frontend and backend web technologies, mostly in ReactJS, Golang and Python. I love the terminal and have built a few command-line tools as well. So yes, I spend most of my time writing code(or reading code written by someone else!).

I actively participate in programming contests on CodeChef and Codeforces. Secured a rank of 11/121 in ACM ICPC Chennai regionals, 2018.

Worked on developing responsive web applications using HTML5, CSS3, Vanilla JS and ReactJS.

Worked on developing backend services in Golang, PHP and Python. Developed applications using REST and gRPC.

Worked on automated identification and removal of duplicate code in large codebases. It involved static code analysis and application of matching algorithms on the Abstract Syntax Trees of the given code.

Developed a load sharing, scalable architecture for remote-triggered virtual lab systems with Raspberry Pis acting as the secondary servers. Led to a 30% reduction in load on the primary server and increased fault tolerance of the system.

Secured a rank of 11/121 teams in the ACM ICPC Chennai Regionals.
Code-o-Soccer, 2017
Secured 1st position at this strategy-based coding event, where one is required to design and code the AI for a team of autonomous soccer playing bots.
Pragyan Hackathon, 2016
Secured 1st position for developing a bot that acts a companion while you are low and depressed.
